If speed is important to you, then you should avoid Sandisk usb drives. They are ridiculously slow compared to comparable drives from other manufacturers like Memorex.

what do you mean "ridiculously slow"?

i own one of these flash drives (not a 2gb one though, only 512mb) and i can dump over a full 500 or so mb's in about 30-45sec. how much faster are the memorex drives?
