Still, I think this is a terrible business move for them. I read about this a few days ago. If you have a choice between XM and Sirius for the same price per month, who are you going to choose? Sirius has signed deals with the NFL, NPR, and soon Howard Stern, while XM signed with MLB. Who would you choose for the same rate per month? The only advantage XM had was price if you only wanted to listen to music, now there's no competition. Sirius was always the better service, but it came at a premium price. Now, the only people who are going to go XM are baseball fans.
To XM's credit, they do have Opie and Anthony, but in my opinion, I'd rather have Howard Stern. Also, XM's new rate includes the premium channels which used to be a couple bucks a piece in addition to the plan.
