If you purchased a PSP recently, this is a good add-on.

good, but SanDisk makes equally good ones for a fraction of teh price, well, kinda... $60 up front (@ buy.com)

Is it me or do I only see the 256Mb version as the $54.99 price ? I don't see the 512mb one for $54.99....

I did get the PSP on first-release date and it's amazingly good. Now that I've figured out how to transfer MP3s and set them up properly - the (included) 32MB DUO stick isn't enough for me.

I need the 512MB or the 1GB version.

the link in Spoofee's original post takes me to the 512MB version. hmm, interesting... :hmm:

if that link still doesn't work for you, try searching for MSXM-512S

btw, it's not in stock right now, but says it will be "in stock soon". also, the price decreased to $57.19 AR.

Just did the search for "MSXM-512S" on the BestBuy website and it gave me an error indicating that the product doesn't exist.

Any other thoughts ?

hi there JRS, did you typo and mean amazon.com? b/c that's the online store that's offering this for the lower price. i just checked & they still have it as "in stock soon". also, the price is up again, to $79.99 before rebates ($64.99 AR)

ok just re-read Spoofee's first post, and i see why you checked the BestBuy web site.

btw, bestbuy does seem to have it, link here, and i'm not sure if it's reflecting their sale prices yet, but their site says this is $104.99 - $15 MIR = $99.99

plus, there's a $10 off $100 deal for Best Buy (use the link), that would make this $89.99 AR/AC

If you're looking for a cheap 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, the cheapest place I have found is from onsale.com. $108.75, no rebates needed.

http://www.onsale.com/onsale/shop/detail.asp?dpno=651408

It's even more cheaper:

http://www.onsale.com/onsale/shop/detail.asp?dpno=536001

And I just looked at that Amazon rebate - - it doesn't specify a store. Which means, you can buy it (the 1GB) at OnSale.com and get $20 back... for a lower price of: $78.99 (after rebate).

Is this site legit? Has anyone bought something from this site? Also the part number they listed is Mfr.Part #: MSXM1GS, with no pics. on the rebate form, the 1gb models are MSX-1GS, MSX-1GN, and MSX-M1GN, so MSX-M1GS is not listed as an eligible model. And why is their sandisk 1 GB more expensive than sony's?

It looks legit. But I have never bought from them. My goal is to print out their price, bring it to BestBuy (local store) and see if they will match the price. The BestBuy Manager will probably go online to see if the price is legit - and make the call to either match it or have me walk away. I am betting that BestBuy will match it.

Let me know how that goes. If they honor your price match, I'm going to do the same. ;)

i hope they do, but, APPARENTLY, they don't do it on "promotions".... they rejected my

price match of 10% off ALL PSP games (via CompUSA) well, we'll just have to see. good

luck.

The onsale.com price isn't a promo. It's $99 and that rebate form for $20 doesn't specify a specific store. Which means I should be able to use the one from "whomever".

I will visit BestBuy later this afternoon. I will post my findings later this evening.

No dice... local BestBuy store didn't carry the 1GB Sony DUOs. They didn't expect them in for at least 1-2 months - - as the Mgr stated.

I picked up the 256MB stick but am having second thoughts.... No 512MB available.

Update: There's a guy on eBay (w/an eBay Store) selling the 256MB Sony Pro Duo (MSX-M256S) for $38.00 ($47 shipped). BestBuy sold me the same thing for $64.99. The $10 Sony rebate applies. I'll return the one from Best Buy and will keep the one from eBay...

Final price (after rebate): $37 shipped.
