Whaa?

This sounds like one of those "Too Good to be True" deals that turn out to be a scam or something...

Is this for real? Has anyone here successfully completed the process and got a PS3 at that price?

:convinced:

a friend of mine got it when sony was giving a $100 credit instead. But as you know, it requires credit check and stuff....so if u get the credit card don't cancel it before the year.

If you are not sure about those links, then go directly to sony's website.

Sony is betting they come out ahead with interest payments on this one...

im tempted to do it..

i read the policy and i didnt see any fee's. ARE THERE ANY FEE's? I want to switch over to the sony because of the sony points system. My current credit card doesnt give me anything.

i already have a 40 gig ps3 and i could sell that one for $200 and buy the 80 and pay the difference.

Yeah, lets all just ignore our crumbling economy and get more debt to save a few bucks!!!!

Ps3

Just curious about the note at the bottom of the page -

"Note: This model will not play PlayStation® 2 games, but is backwards compatible with PS one™ games."

I bought a PS3 last Christmas that plays PS2 games fine. Did they 'fix' the newer model?

What does this have to do with anything? Either you can afford it or you can't. It's up to us as individuals to decide if we can. Applying for a credit card doesn't mean you're making debt for yourself. Just make sure you can always pay it off and there's no debt to discuss.

I don't use any credit card as a "loan." I use it for the sake of convenience. If I were to apply for this credit card, it wouldn't be because I can't afford a $250 PS3 right now, it would be because I wanted to save some money on one. I would personally make sure I can immediately pay off the bill, so as not to go into debt over it, and not incurr any finance charges.

@CR125Honda

Yeah, some of the original 80GB PS3 were backwards compatible with PS2 (mostly, still slightly less than the 60 and 20 GB). Once they introduced the 40GB they got rid of the backwards compatibility in those models, to incidentally save a little money in manufacturing. Then they just took that model and upped the 40GB to 80GB and voila some 80 GB have it and some don't.

So they "fixed" it.

I took the bait and hopefully I'll be getting the system in a couple days...

Sony really wanted me to purchase right away. They gave me all my credit card info right then and there.

I'm in.. just bought the PS3 + remote. Now I can finally watch Bluray movies. yay

Not long to wait for the credit either...

"Credit will be posted to your Sony Card Statement within 8-12 weeks from Qualifying Purchase"

did they email email you your credit card number??

i tried to use my account number instead..

no.. they never emailed me my cc number.

The account number you are talking about.. did that show up in a popup window? If so then that account number is your cc number.

thats what i thought.. didnt work for some reason.. ill try it again.

i tried to search online for ecoupons.. No Luck
