Okay I admit it, I use several aliases for email just to throw off the unwanted spam. I noticed something odd. If the user names sounds masculine, more spam will drop into that mail slot than if the name is neutral or feminine. Anyone else noticed this? Do they expect men to buy into the unwanted than women?

I don't think spammers care if you are male, female, or a eunich. Have address, will spam.

i have to say i am female and i get a crap load of spam everyday.

If you're believed to be a male, you get more porn spam I've noticed.

It couldn't be because of the non-Spoofee sites you visit, could it.;) ;)

well, I'm a girl with a boy's name and I get spam everyday for penis enlargement, horny housewives, girls "wanting to meet me", etc. Its ridiculous. :o

I'd tell you but then I would have to sick dehawk on you

Here's my question - Do these spammers actually make money. Logic (uhoh, here I go again - I know, spoofee, no logic etc.) dictates that they wouldn't do it if they didn't make money from it but how naive can people be???????? Or am I just naive to think (or want to think) that people aren't that naive? What a conundrum.
