Staples HP ZE4101 on clearance Listed price $899 ($599 AR +

Rumor is that HP ZE4101 is on clearance for $899. Staples has a $150 of any preconfigured laptop. You can also use the 50 of 150 coupons. And send in the HP rebate for $100

So Lappy - 899+
150- Staples off
50 - Staples coupon
100- HP rebates

Final price 599.

The same rumor mill has that HP has extended the second $100 rebate too and both rebates don't say they can't be combined. So call HP and convince them that you can send only a copy of UPC for one of these rebate and get this darn lappy for $499. Hey if you want it still cheaper go get it in Mars.:butt:

Hmmm . . . not listed at that price online or in my local store. Anyone else have any luck?? Am I missing something?

Just did it in Tigard, Oregon. $945.81 for this laptop + Windows XP Pro upgrade. The rebates include $150 staples + $100 HP + 75 Windows upgrade. Final price is $620.

Good deal! That was in store I assume?? Did they have the price listed at $899? My wife was out at Staples today and told me it was listed at $1099 still, but I'm not sure she asked anyone to check the price.

Yes it is instore. Ask them to scan it. At my place it was listed as clearance. Or just look out for another week. It happened like that for the Keyboard and Mouse deal. My staples didn't have the deal for like 2 weeks after the deal started elsewhere. But wouldn't hurt to go there tomorrow and scan that darn thing.

bought it...stubborn store manager Help needed

I got the laptop , last one ..$899 on clearance -150 Staples rebate -100HP rebate +6% tax=$703.00

When I mentioned the 50 off 150(#76343) to the manager , he would not want to take it saying that I can't just a give him a number unless it's a printable coupon or copy of an email.Said that the computer will just take it and if later found wrong , the store will get charged back (is this true??).

I was told that I have 14 days , so I can bring a coupon in and they will adjust the price. Can someone verify that?

Also, on the website i entered the above # for 50 off 150 and it took it. Can I go to a different store and present them with the same code?

I welcome any advice from you pros out there .
I do want to get the 50 bucks off , otherwise I don't know if this deal is as sweet as I thought...

FYI
I found this printable , in store only .
Is this a valid coupon for the above order ?

50 off 200 Instore Coupon!

No you can not just go up to the register and say the 5 digit code. You have to have the printable coupon like the Manager said. That Coupon 50 off 200 worked for me. Give it a try it should work for you too.

There is also an acrobat pdf of the coupon. Search our sister site FW for staples coupons. The thing is they refused to give me a 15 of 75 coupon for the windows XP upgrade.
By the way don't forget the upgrade deal. This laptop comes with XP home but you can get the XP pro for $175 - $80 instore savings and another $75 MIR. Now if you want to ebay that thing you get back another $125. Which makes this deal cho chweet. If only staples participated in the MSN Wallet deal........... Hmmmm am i dreaming too much.

Worked fro me too

As a follow-up to my earlier posts, I fiinally got off my ass and went down to the local store today and asked someone. The price at the display was $1099, but the compter rang it up at $899 and change. The only probalem was that they only had the display model left. No problem though -- they called another store that had one and had them ship to me, with me paying at my store. They took the $50 off $200 coupon with no questions (leaving available for online use still). Supposedly the machine will be here tomorrow.

What's the deal on the XP upgrade though? I didn't ask about that while I was there. Do I have to buy at the same time as the laptop, or can I go back and get it??

Never mind . . .

Went and looked it up myself. For the rebate you need to buy the computer and the XP upgrade within 30 days of each other and at the same place. I'm assuming I can go back tomorrow with my receipt and get the in-store deal on the upgrade. I even have a $15 off $75 card Staples sent me, so maybe I can use that too. Turning out to be a very nice deal indeed.

Now for the next question of the day. Both the Staples and HP rebates for the computer need the original UPC -- which one should we ultimately send the UPC copy to?? Any ideas?

Don't forget the free AR USB floppy

One more note and I'll stop following up to my own posts. Don't forget to buy the USB floppy from hpshopping.com and send in the $50 rebate for it. I called the rebate line, and they said if you already took advantage of that offer with another computer, you can submit again with a new computer/USB floppy purchase.

Price dropped to $799. Get your $100 back.

Hot. The price dropped by $100 to $799.90. I went and got my $100 back. If you bought this laptop just go ahead and have them PM the new price and get $100 back. They dropped the price because $150 rebate is no longer available. But if the price drops within 30 days of purchase they would give our dollars back. Isn't this deal getting sweeter by the week...

Wow..that;s awesome..however I can't find the new price anywhere. Can you please post a link? What if the stores are sold out? Please let me know ASAP since I have few days left before my 30 days are up.
Please share your experience..where did you go..who did you talk to CSR vs. Store Manager..what did they require in order to post the difference..

tx :(

Just go to the store and ask them to ring that UPC. It will show as 799. Doesn't matter if it's in stock anywhere or not. I went in and showed my original receipt and said that the price dropped and i wanted to do price adjustment and they gave back $50. My original price was $845 with that $50 coupon applied to it. Darn it that coupon has expired and so i just ended up with $50 applied to my card. But i do have a $30 of $150 that i may use tomorrow.

Staples's price match period for computer and printer is 14 days, not 30 days. How could you get $100 back?

PM-ing other stores is 14 days. PM-ing their own price is 30 days. Or atleast that's what my Staples store said. The price was 899 on 12/15 and today it is 799. So they gave 100 back but took off the $50 coupon.....

Hmmmm, I bought an Epson Stylus 825 Photo Printer for $179.98 on Dec. 13th. They lowered the price to $129.
I called them yesterday for PM. But the representative refused it saying that more than 14 days have been passed. :( :(

I don't think you have restocking fee on printers. Just return them. You can do that within 30 days right. Then just buy it back from them for the new price. Oh man. Printers need to be returned within 14 days. Just call them tomorrow and hopefully you get a good CSR.

I told the strategy to the representative. But she said I cannot return the printer because the return days for printer and computer is 14 days, not 30 days.

I checked it at Staples web site and confirmed it - 14 dyas return and 14 days PM for computer and printer
.
So I am curious how you got your money back...
Maybe you were lucky..

Don't tell anything but just ask what their Price Adjustment strategy is if the price on the item goes down. Price Adjustment triggers different neurons than Price Matching....
