If you tell the clerk at a Starbucks that your Starbucks card is registerd online, or if you actually register it, you won't be charged for any flavor shots and/or soy milk substitutions for your drink.

AND sometimes they put $5 on it just because! Oh, you also get a free 12oz beverage with purchase of coffeebeans, free coffee refills...

Oooh! That sounds good! Any idea how often they do that? (the $5 thing)...I am going to register my cards now. Thanks for the posts!
 
I've gotten a few of them. They are totally random and come at odd times 'just because.'

So funny, I had a $.15 balance on one card and now have parlayed that into a free drink! Also registered a recently acquired $5 one for my husband and another for a friend! This was a great find. Thanks.

Yes, you must have a card because they ask for the card # as well as the pin (the scratch off part). Maybe you have a friend with a card--as long as there is a balance on it, it'll work.
 
thanks i got a card as a gift yesterday and will do this tomorrow on the way to work
