Starbucks emailed out this coupon for a complimentary iced grande beverage between noon and 9pm.

Apparently my co-worker's co-worker's sister has tried it and Starbucks told her it's fake, but they will still honor it this time around.
 
I just used it at my local starbucks and the girl sounded like she knew about the deal already when I told her I had the coupon (drive-thru). She took it with no questions asked, although she understood the deal being for just an iced coffee--the plain stuff. I didn't complain and I drove away with a free coffee. Doesn't seem fake in this neck of the woods...maybe the starbucks referred to above just wasn't aware of the promotion?
 
The coupon worked perfectly.

I used the coupon today in Lafayette, CA. It worked fine, no questions asked. I am going to use it everyday from now until september 30th when it expires. This deal is good.
 
my sister had a laminate copy of a similar coupon, for either a milk iced grande, or just regular iced grande. so i would assume this is the same or a similar promotion
 
I htink its a fake but I used one earlier no problem! barista was confused, manager was confused, but didnt stop them from honoring it. Ill send my g/f in for coffee tomorrow:)
 
Given that Starbucks stock actually went down due to their own product (the frappucinos are actually worse than a McDonalds Big Mac)... I'm sure they would want to give some product away just to re-entice folks to come back and try something else. On a hot day what else tastes good but an Iced beverage?

It worked!!!

I just got back from Starbucks. The barista girl had to ask the manager and the manager looked slightly annoyed. She accepted, but only allowed a tall to be given instead of the grande size.

My buddy also got one earlier today. Apparently he got the grande size.

Starbucks' employees look confused but if they are accepting it whether it's fake or not, who cares.

Go and get your free ice coffee!!!!!
 
will not work in all locations

the coupon will only work in various locations. i actually work at a starbucks and the coupon does not apply to our store. customers were mad. =(
 
I guess no one wants to be denied the drink....I will give it a try tonight.

Are you guys all printing the coupon in color?

An email offering a free Starbucks iced coffee was distributed to a limited group of Starbucks partners (employees) in the Southeast United States on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 with instructions to forward to their group of friends and family. Unfortunately, it has been redistributed beyond the original intent and modified beyond Starbucks control. Effective immediately, this offer will no longer be valid at any Starbucks locations.

Yep, I live in Seattle & I printed this out & gave it to my mom, and today when she went to use it, they denied her. So she ended up having to pay $10 for a couple of drinks (they wouldn't even give her one free).:(
