I guess Amazon figures a) a large percentage of people will buy stuff they aren’t necessarily needing (or actually wanting) & b) an even larger percentage will not even use the $10 promotional credit (seeing as how they offer ONLY THREE DAYS to use it before it EXPIRES!!!)
