You can get the Professional version at the same price. Also this is the download pricing. There is a way to get it on DVD for $13 more. Please look at full term & condition link to see detail.

You can get a free .edu email address at www.australia.edu. There's a good chance Microsoft is on to that and has excluded @australia.edu email accounts, but maybe worth a try.

can anyone post a link they get in e-mail?

can you upgrade from OEM XP Pro or Home?

Yes, you can use the Windows 7 upgrade if you're currently running any version of XP, but you'll have to do a clean install, meaning you'll have to re-install all of your programs and settings after you install Windows 7. You'll need your XP product key, I think. Vista users can do an upgrade and keep all of their programs and settings.

I tested a free australia.edu email address, and it does indeed work for this deal! :)

Actually, you can also get Windows 7 Professional Upgrade for $29 through the same deal. I just did. When you go and confirm your account, and get to the page there will be a link that says something like "Need to join you schools network domain?" Click that and it changes the offer to 32 or 64 bit Windows 7 Professional Upgrade.

Only if it was Professional version.

I find Home Premium is lacking some of the features I need. :(

Read the post above yours. You can get home premium or professional with this deal.

Anyone have seven? I had the wonderful experience with Millennium.

A clean install would mean reinstalling all my software?

login australia.edu issues

Is anyone else having issues logging into their australia.edu email address?

After I made my account and clicked on the verification link that came by email, it took an hour or so before I received a second email saying the account was active. Before that email came in, it wouldn't let me log in (just kept telling me to verify the account, even though I already had). Give it some time, it will work.

Upgrade to Professional version from Vista Home Premium

Does anybody know that can I upgrade to Windows 7 Professional from Vista Home Premium? I would not like to use home version again.

When I click the verification link I get an error message saying "invalid confirmation link".
