?Super Dell Computer Deals? When?

Periodically, I have heard of some really great specials on Dell computers. I have even heard of when the price was so good that some people bought these computers even though they didn't need a computer at the time. I never paid a lot of attention to them, but now I have an application for a good cheap computer (as I remember it, cheap= typical Dell price minus $200 to $300).

I don't need a monitor or printer, so I'm looking for just a computer.

Is there any discernable timing pattern to their offering these deals? If so, when might another of these deals appear?

Let me see what I can find for you today, but if you look under Small Business on Dell and get one of the low end PowerEdge servers (the SC420), you can get a great deal on just the tower because it's supposed to be a server but can be used as a high end desktop. Most are $200 or $300. Some don't even come with Windows so if you can provide your own copy, you can save a bundle. Let me see if there are any extraordinary PowerEdge deals running and I'll let you know.

In my opinion you should wait until closer to Christmas. You will see a lot of very good deals at they try to make their quota for quarter 4.
