Sur La Table is offering free knife sharpening until 04/30/10.

- Bring up to two knives to any Sur La Table store and they will sharpen them for free
- Additional knives are $1 each. Note that you may need to leave the knives with them for up to 48 hours.

Additional knives are $1 PER INCH. That would be a big difference if your bringing in a 12" Santoku...

haha, that's some small print on that "per inch" statement! That's insane. I bought a chef's choice diamond knife sharpener awhile back...yeah, it was pricey, but holy smokes does that thing work well. And we haven't spent a dime to sharpen our Wusthof knives since!
