Do you do any volunteering anywhere?

I am on the committee for our local Relay For Life. Plus, I go to my church's youth summer camp (this my my 5th year) to cook for the kids. The camp is by Turner Falls, in OK. I went to the camp every year when I was growing up. There's no place in the world like Falls Creek!

Other than those, I like to spend time in my kids' classrooms when I can. I go on every field trip and to every party. :)
 
I volunteer in my kids classrooms, soccer and baseball teams. I used to do local beach clean ups but my time is so limited with the little ones.

I would love to volunteer at any animal shlters but I would end up taking a lot home. I don't think the 4 animals I already have would like that.
I am in my daughter's classroom at least twice a week just helping out.

As a volunteer or do you get paid for it? I wouldn't do it for free.
 
I help out in a Teen Mops (mothers of preschoolers) program. I also help out in my sons preschool class some and in different areas at church as well.
 
I volunteer for a national group for people going through chemotherapy, and also for seniors who are homebound, or who are just lonely and would like to know that someone cares. Everything is done through the mail, with you sending something to them about once or twice a week. I don't know if I can post the website here, so if it is something you would be interested in drop me a PM and I'll send you the link.
 
I do all kinds of stuff at my church. I also collect coupons, cut them out, organize them, and send them to our troops, who can use them up to 6 mos after the expiration date on their bases.
 
I volunteer at the local modeling agency to rub oil on all the models before a swimsuit photo shoot. I guess if I told them I was volunteering they would stop slapping me :o

Volunteer Fire Department for the city
Volunteer EMT-Intermediate for the county
 
Monterey Bay Aquarium. 900 volunteers......Also, SPCA & St Vincents. I try to get in & out as quickly as possible however.
 
I volunteer to help with Spoofee.com :bigok:

Plus I volunteer myself to helping the women out... ;)

I used to be on a volunteer fire department when I was 21-22. It was alot of work, but it was fun.

I do not remember if I have any of those pics left of myself. I only had 200 copies made and that was a while back. ;) :eek:
