I added some RAM to my computer and enclosed in the package was an offer for System Mechanic 6 (for "free" [S&H of $10.00]).

Doesn't cost $10 to ship, that's just what they add to cover their cost of the software.

I'm not seeing why the computer makes a difference (it's an eMachine) and I know the cost to ship is not $10.00.

The offer does not give you the ability to download it (which is why I put the free in quotes)

I would guess it is good, but i would not take chances.i would research the product before you make the final decision.
