Hello everyone. Because I'm a cell phone fan and I keep track of them and many people use the T-Mobile Get More plan, I figured I would post. T-Mobile is now offering 1000 national minutes and unlimited night and weekend on their $39.99 Get More plan. The previous amount of minutes on the plan was 600. You can call T-Mobile by dialing 611 free from your wireless phone to switch plans. This plan may only be available in select large markets, I'm not sure.

Also, rumor is that after AT&T's introduction of 1050 local minutes with unlimited night and weekend and unlimited mobile to mobile for $39.99, that they will be completely restructuring more plans within the next few weeks. I would think that AT&T will be offering a 1000 minute national plan as well, as that is how their plans normally work.

Anyway, if you use AT&T, keep an eye out for upgrades, as for T-Mobile, you can already get a great deal through them. The T-Mobile plan is available to both new and existing customers.

Not for the time being, I would assume that there will be huge changes when AT&T is finally added into the mix, but that will be a long time. Still, the first few steps are being taken as now in select areas AT&T users are allowed to roam onto Cingular networks without roaming charges if the Cingular signal is stronger or no AT&T signal is aquired.

Get more plan

Hey is the Get more plan a nation-wide plan or a local plan. I've got sprint and I have 1000 anytime, unlimited sprint to sprint and unlimited nights and weekends for $5 more, $45 a month. :hmm:

The Sprint plan you're on is local, the T-Mobile is national with no roaming charges anywhere you get service for voice usage.

does it works for the rest of the plan time left or does the plan starts fresh from the day you change it and goes on for the whole year from that date?

Most likely when you sign onto the plan it will refresh at the T-Mobile billing cycle to your new plan (the 27th), if you get it new, it will be prorated. It will then refresh monthly.

This plan is not not offered nation wide, its only available in certain test markets. If you were able to get this plan please post your region so we can figure out where the plan is offered. The plan is NOT available in the Chicago/Milwaukee market

The plan is offered in most major metropolitan areas through T-Mobile, I know that Philadelphia and New York are offered it.

I just checked and Houston, Tx has the plan offered.

You guys are great! I just joined T-Mobile 2 weeks ago with the 600 minutes plan. I just called them and switched to this new plan you announced with no problem. I'm in Allen, TX (north of Dallas).

Thanks!

I just got switched to a new plan last month from the $29.99 per month to the $69.99 family plan (only 800 anytime and unlimited nights & weekends for two phones). Is there a way I could switch also?

Call them and ask, the worst they can say is no

You will be able to switch to this however, I don't see why there would be a problem.

Your's a Family plan, and won't qualify for the Get More 1000 , but you can always split your lines and for $10 more a month you'll have 1000 each instead ... ( but no M2M though)

I got my phone back in December with 600 min plan Unlimited nights and weekends. I called and got it upgraded to 1000 min plan. So now my 1 year plan was renewed. So now i have 1000 min till March 2005.

Miami, Fl
Thanks Spoofee!

umm u said this plan was for new and existing customers..to some degree its true..but you got to renew your contract for at least 1 yr before u can upgrade.

Just tried to call on this in Idaho Falls which is in the Salt Lake market.

The lady on the other end told me it was being tested in some of the more major markets and if it's popular it would be offered to other markets as well.

She actually used the term tested. I've been out of my T Mobile contract for almost 4 months, but the service has been so awesome that I see no reason to switch providers. So if they offer this in my market, I wouldn't mind signing up for a new contract.

I just called T-Mobile again trying to switch (just in case the original rep wasnt informed about this plan). Anyway, this time the girl knew exactly which plan I was talking about, she looked up my number and I am out of the markets in which it is being offered. Here is the info I gathered from my discussion with her:

1) The plan is available in certain test markets (NY, NJ, TX, and a few other smaller markets).
2) The plan is a promotion which ends on April 17th. It could be offered nation wide at that time or could disappear.
3) The plan is available to new subscribers or existing subscribers provided you agree to a 1 year contract. If you are under contract, you are free to switch to another plan.
