TARGET 25 Free Digital Prints (again)

No copies accepted? But printout is okay? How do they prevent us from printing multiple copies and go to a Target several times? I wonder...

what are "digital prints"? That's very vague. prints of digital photos? Or jpegs of film negatives?

What's the max size? I'd love to go get some 8x10's made of some digital photos I have.

They are prints of digital photos - either from a memory card or CD. I am assuming it is only for 4" X 6" images, which also means the ratio should be 3:2 from what I've heard (in order for there not to be anything cut off around the edges).

I would print this page out. Just so the high school kid at the Cashier knows what the deal is.

I used the coupon last time. You get 25 prints 4x6 from digital media, cd or memory stick. They use a behind the counter computer and download the contents of the memory stick or cd, then print out a thumbnail page showing all the images. You circle the ones you want and get them for free!

You could use the coupon multiple times, they asked for no info besides my name which was never put into a computer. Plus I have about 6 Targets nearby to use LOL

KYOO,
(a little Off Topic) Have you seen the Free Prints from WinkFlash ?

www.WinkFlash.com quality is VERY GOOD and I can recommend the service. They use Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper and chemicals and have OK turnaround time (Post Office 3-5 days FREE Shipping summer Special). Regular prices start at only 18¢ for a high quality 4X6, ....
5 X 7, ... 29¢, ...... 8 X 10, $1.99 . You create an account, upload your photos, use a very easy order form that will tell you IF your photo will not turn out ok for the size you want printed (too small, not enough pixels, etc) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, but if you are money-back guarantee on all orders. :claps: :claps: :claps:

last time they had this deal I got 3 sets of prints done and was extreemyl happy with the quality EVEN from my 2.1 MP camera. They looked like from a real camera. I ran out of pictures i wanted printed though, so I started printing HUGE uber high rez pics which came out even better

I just had some pictures printed. They turned out horrible, the colors don't match in the first set, and the pictures have grains in the second set (from different Target). Very different than the prints when uploaded to Target's Kodak Picture Center.

I just went to 2 Target and got the Free Prints. And they looks GREAT!! I still have a few more targets to get too. :D

Thanks for the post ....

One question...my digital cam has no memory card that you take out....can I just bring the cam and do they download the pics in it?? Thanks in advance for answering :)

Probably not because generally that will require software to recognize it. Do you have a cd burner? If so download them to your hard drive and then burn them off onto a cd for printing.

As far as picture color looking bad, often times it is a result of improper calibration of the printers and not your photos, try a different Target you may get different results.

And thanks for sharing!

Terrible prints

Just to add my $.02 to the discussion, the free prints we got from Target were terrible--really grainy, poor color. Same pix looked great when printed at home on HP PhotoSmart 230. Guess you get what you pay for... or the guy manning the machine had the resolution turned down too low.

I went to one Target and started printing sheets (each sheet containing three 4x6") from my CD using the Kodak print center outside their photo shop. Finally when I gave her the free coupon she said "oops! this is not for the Kodak print center" and I tried to argue that "I didn't know". Anyway she gave me full credit without any fuss.

The point is: the prints from the Kodak machine came out great compared to the same Target store free prints done inside by the staff a week ago.
