I have two of these, they're very well made and very reliable.
 
These things are great for college student living in dorms. Always lock your notebook, even if it's in your room. You can never trust your roomates to keep the door close and lock! $10 is a small price to pay for piece of mind.

No, there's a small horizontal slot on most laptops and PDAs. This lock has a bar that fits in that slot. When locked, the bar turns vertically so it cannot be removed. You wrap the cable around something then fit the end through a loop at the end before locking...

That was an interesting article and video, but it only showed bike locks. What does this have to do with laptop locks? I seriously doubt that the same flaw exists in the laptop cable lock shown in this deal. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
