Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Graphing Calculator for $43.45 After Pricematch

Office Depot has the Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Graphing Calculator for only $55.99 shipped after rebate and $43.45 after pricematch.

Pricegrabber Price : $94 ~ $144 Shipped

1. Click here to go to Office Depot.
2. Search and Add 905739 ( TI83 Price : $99.90 )
3. Coupon Price : -$20 off $75 | Code : 93417888
4. Wait for your order #.
5. Call 1-800-463-3768 and tell them that Staples is carrying the same unit for $84.94 and you would like a pricematch. ( Pricematch : - $16.45 )
6 Rebate Price : - $20.00
Final Price : $43.45 Shipped

I think Staples is carrying this calculator for $84.99, a simple pricematch would bring the price to $85 before the coupons and rebates, $40 after.

If ur in highschool and will be taking pre calc or calc..get a ti-89 its worth the investment..if not go ti83<--just need a link wire to dl calc features.

My teachers usually recommend the TI-83 or now the new updated TI-84. The newer ones are quite nice.

Whatever, I have a TI-83, I really couldn't care. Come on, it's a calculator.

I absolutely agree. If money is not that big of a concern, get a ti-89. While this is a really great deal, the 89 will take your through college (Calc 1, 2, 3, diff eq.....). The regular ti-89 is now discontinued, so if you don't mind buying it used, that's your best bet. The new ti-89 titanium, IMO, is a waste of money. It costs a lot more and all you basically get is more memory (which i haven't seen people use for anything other than games), and possibly a faster processor (i'm not sure, but it's fast enough in the first place).

The TI-83+ is a great calculator. Once you go Ti-89 it becomes more of a computer and less of a calculator. The ti-83 will handle 99% of most user needs.

Also I would like to point out some professors at some colleges only allow calculator below the ti-89. Well that was the case with some of my math classes. Just thought I'll point it out.

I would jump on this, but my calc classes don't allow graphing calculators of any kind.. not even the ti-83. The highest end calc allowed is the TI-34... oh well :)

I've been through Calc 1,2,3, Differential Equations, all the "math" classes, and none of those teachers allowed any calculator for the tests. (Univ. of Louisville Speed Scientific School of Engineering)
However, that doesn't mean the A&S classes didn't allow them (idk).

p.s. not meant to brag.

I just read on Office Depot.com that they price match after coupons and rebates are deducted so can this deal be done.

this deal does not work for me. you have to do pricematch over the phone, therefore you cannot use the coupon ($20 off $75). :thumbs_do

I called to Office Depot to pricematch and they said they don't pricematch technology items.

Darn

Just for further comparison info for Ti-83 plus and Ti-89. If you think you are ever pursuing towards deeper and math and/or physics, consider purchasing Ti-89. Whether your teacher/professor lets you use it or not, it is a very helpful tool. It solves implicit integrations, which is where a lot of people find it useful, and it is more convenient for programming. In addition, if you are deeply interested in such subjects to be pursuing discrete math, number theory, modern physics, etc. Ti-89 will be a more convenient tool at handy if you do not have computer softwares at hand.
Just a thought.

Does anyone have a copy of the barcode

for this TI-83+ calculator? I sent my original one in but the rebate center told me they never received it. Now I need to find another one to send in.

if anyone has a scanned copy of the TI-83+ upc code and could send it to me, i'd reall appreciate it. the rebate people lost mine.
