I Guess You Can Use This To Say Whatever You Think Is Rediculous (forgive Me, I'm Not An English Major) About Whatever.

I Have 4 Kids, So Mcdonalds Playplace Is A Life Saver. When We Go Shopping, We Make It An All Day Trip Because Of The Hour And Half Drive. So To Combat The Sitting And Behaving And Holding Hands Of The Day, We Go To The Playplace To Let Them Run And Have Fun.
Anyway, We Were At The Only Playplace In The Entire City Of Dubuque And Not Only Did They Shut Down The Playplace, They Told Us That Mcdonalds Was Not Going To Build Any More. When I Asked Why, They Said That The Parents Of The Children Aren't Making Them Wear The Required Socks. That Gets Mcdonalds Into Trouble With Health Codes And All So They Aren't Building Any More. Personally I Think....
That's Outrageous!!!
NOT ON MCDONALDS PART, I UNDERSTAND THAT...WHAT I MEAN IS THE PARENTS. YEAH I'VE COMPLAINED ABOUT HAVING TO BUY THE SOCKS IN THE SUMMER BUT WHEN FACED WITH NOT HAVING A PLAYPLACE AT ALL BECAUSE PARENTS WON'T MAKE KIDS EVEN WEAR SOCKS, A DOLLAR ISN'T THAT HIGH A PRICE TO PAY

also..

If you think of this from a business perspective, by not having the playlands that opens up more seating. More seating means more money.

The McDs near us have been one by one being remodeled. At one, they "took" the playplace away. At another, they added a play place. It's cool too... it has DDR and a 3 story "fort" and a tiny slide for babies. They just remodeled this past summer and I think we've already been there like 6 times. That's definitely up from how many times we usually frequent McDs.

My daughter always asks to take off her socks and I say no. It's easier for her to climb on things with bare feet- she doesn't slide around as much as when she has socks (or forbid! Tights!). But I just think it's yucky to run around in bare feet!

You should get those little slipper socks with the grippy bits on the bottom so she can climb better. If you wait til right after Christmas, you could probably score a bunch for really cheap. (Who cares if they have reindeer or trees on them.) Keep a pair stashed in the car.

Before I had kids I swore I'd never let mine play in these kinds of things. I mean breading factory for germs! Whose climbing up in there and disinfecting all that? Since I've had kids I do let them, but I'm still grossed out by it. I've never been to one that I thought was appropriately clean. But their feet are not on the top of my list of worrys. They aren't sticking their feet in their mouth or eyes. How about their grubby little paws that they touch everything with, wiping snot and everything else all over the floor and walls and then they come down and eat and run back up there? Socks? Sure, but how about a bottle of hand-sanitizer too?

The McDonald's in my town also took away their playplace when they rebuilt. :verysad:

Ok someone let me know if they start giving these things away! My kids would FREAK if I brought home a Mcdonalds playplace! LOL!
