Is the woman in the picture spinning in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction?

Whichever direction you see it spinning, try looking at the picture a bit longer - moving your eyes from the shadow to the black woman, and then back to the shadow again, continuously repeating the process.:worry:

After a short while… the direction will change!

No illusion---the animation is changing. You see that she's spinning on her left leg, and then swtiches to her right leg after a few seconds, along with a change in direction. It's really well done though, pretty clever.
