The Ultimate Steal: MS Office 2007 for $60 (Students Only)

Sales of office 2007 must be slow; Microsoft already offers a discounted student & teacher edition of office 2007 (and most other MS products), now they are offering office ultimate edition for $59.95 for college students with a .edu email address and enrollment of at least 0.5 course load. Limited time of course.

Note that this is not the student/teacher package (which is missing loads of apps). Rather it is the so-called "ultimate" package with everything included. Great deal if you have access to a .edu email addy.

Note also it's for download only. If you need the CD's, there's an additional charge.

Limited time? Pshaw. Offer good until April 2008.

For anyone considering buying MS software, teacher & student (now called home and student) editions of MS products are exactly the same as their retail counterparts; In the case of Visual Studio may actually include extra software or programming examples. Microsoft has always had a commitment to providing educators and students with discounted versions of their full products. Office Home and Student 2007 contains Standard versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint is available for $125 to $150.

Do not fear - If you buy a student teacher edition you are getting the exact same product; although the price is different. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX102294021033.aspx

Home and Student are not the exact same as the Ultimate Edition.

This is an incredible deal if you are a student.

Lord, I never said or implied that Home and Student were the same as Ultimate. I thought it was pretty darn clear that the products you do get are the exact same as their retail counterparts.

I now see why spoofees have that annoying reputation.

I didn't see an option to get a CD, but I did select the option to be able to download it for two years.

- I think they're just confused, Leobaby

This is one of those things where I wish I were a student again. What a KILLER DEAL!

Get a student friend to order it for you, spaz. Or the child of one of your friends?
