Tilia Vac 300 Vacuum Sealing Kit for $39.99 Shipped Free

Is this a good product? I'm wondering how easy it will be to get packaging and how much it is

i always wanted to try it out, maybe this is a good chance to do so

I don't have one of these so take this for what it's worth. I've always wanted one too, but what's always kept me from getting one is knowing that the bags are so expensive. I've heard around 50 cents per average sized bag use. That may or may not be correct. I know people that have them and do like them--especially for fresh fish after fishing. But I don't know if I'd use it for every day use because of the price of the bags. Probably just for meat for longer term freezer storage. Also, they make many different models of these things with big price differences, so you might want to look at several to see what the differences are. If anyone that has one can comment on the differences, it would be helpful.

I have one of these and it's really works (but I paid 3 times as much). The bags are a little pricey, but you can get them for a good deal at Costco. They say you can reuse the bags by putting them in the dishwasher, but that doesn't sound like a good thing to me. I've never tried it, but they are thick enough to stand up to a dishwasher.

If you freeze a lot of food, it's really worth it. No more freezer burn and your food lasts a lot longer. Combine this with the cost savings you get from buying bulk and it's a must have.

Price is now $49.99 at Amazon.

I have a Foodsaver and I do use it quite a bit. I mostly use the containers which I use for storing vegetables (they last much longer this way) or brown sugar (doesn't get hard). The bags are good for freezing meat, but I try not to use them too frequently since they are expensive.

Got mine brand new at a yard sale for $5, with extra bags and all the storage jars. It does work great, and a must if you have an freezer in the garage to take advantage of the food specials at the grocery stores.

I purchased a different model and it is the best. I can finally shop at Costco without the food going bad. Also Costco sells the rolls cheaper then buying them in regular stores.
