The best deals for a Las Vegas or any casino hotel is not through Expedia or Priceline. Follow these steps next time you go into a casino to get free rooms or great deals at the least.

Simple Method - No Money Required
- Every casino has their 'club membership' which is free to sign up. Ask someone or look for the signup booth and have your ID. Just by signing up, they have your information and they will send you offers by mail to come back and visit. The major casinos in Vegas are owned by 3-5 companies so you only need 3-5 club memberships

- If you don't get offers by mail, you can call to book a room with your 'club membership card' and your room's usually cheaper

Advanced Method - Money Required
- The more you play, more the casinos want you back so they'll do more to please you

- Sign up for the card like above and remember to insert your card in the machine every time you play slots and show your card every time you play table games

- When you start playing table games, pit boss will enter in the machine how much you bought in for and how much a hand you are playing. Buy in for a lot and whenever the pit boss is around, try to play for more. When he/she leaves, play minimum. Take many restroom breaks and take a lot of time making decisions. Even better if the others at the table are slow. Of course, make sure to play with the best odds

- If you have any other tips, please let us know here

I can't confirm this, but I think you also get bonus points for losing money at the table. I've definitely seen people leave and the pit boss asking the dealer how much the person walked out with and the pit boss would enter it in the machine. I sometime pocket my profits when the dealer is focused on something else so it looks like I lost everything when I left. A crowded craps table is a great place to do this.

And honestly, if you want the best deals go to Old Vegas. The strip has worse odds on most of their table games and slots and food is terribly expensive. When you're not eating at Ellis island for their 4.99 steak and eggs breakfast or 6.99 Steak and potato dinner (with a free beer/root beer from their in house brewery!) you can get better food deals in Old vegas.

The older casinos give away free nights like candy. I paid for 2 nights at the newly remodeled El Cortez and got 2 nights free - Total cost 38 dollars for 4 nights at a pretty nice hotel. Plus I earned 2 more free nights gambling at their casino (I might have spent $100 total). I would have stayed longer if we didn't have reservations in California already.

If you want to lose your money on Tight slots and 6/5 payout blackjack hang out on the Strip. MGM and Bellagio are there to take your money, the older casinos are struggling so they are giving things away to get people to stay there.

Also, check out Mermaids in old Vegas for fried twinkies for $1 or fried oreos 3 for $1!

I just reserved rooms at Coushatta, LA for my grandmother's 80th birthday at full price. First time I have done that in years for a hotel room, but I do not have any comps or know of any discounts myself.

Does anyone know a way (besides using a players card once I get there and seeing about retroactive discounts) to get cheaper rooms in Coushatta or surrounding areas?
I am a student and my grandmother is a senior as well (maybe that helps?)

I'm not sure if it still works, but, went I went to Atlantic City with a friend he would slip me the chips he won so I could cash them in for real money. Then he would use the real money to buy more chips. The dealer would think he was buying a lot more chips than he really was. This upp'ed his chances at getting comps. He was always getting offers for free rooms/meals in the mail.
