seems very good price.
but never had Trendnet router before. any personal reviews from spoofee members?

After some of the experiences I've had with other routers (lack of features, poor UI, inability to open ports and do proper port forwarding), I don't think I'd trust anything but the main players like Linksys.

Don't buy this piece of C-RAP. I had this brand router & WLAN but replaced to D-Link in 1 week. Do not spend your time & money for this brand.

I own one from a previous deal and it has been working fine for me. Web UI is decent, with a lot of manual settings you can change. I'm able to use it to forward several ports for web server, ssh, etc.

I've used a USB wireless NIC from Trendnet and other than short range (normal for a USB interface), it did the job. Most ppl don't need or even know how to use the features mentioned, so for basic wireless connectivity, this should work just fine.

Pretty good

I just got one of their routers for my parents. My dad had no problem setting it up, and it is working well for him connecting wireless from his laptop. They don't know how to get too technical with it, but it is working well for their needs. The rebate is still pending, but I don't expect there to be a problem. Even if there is, it is still a lot cheaper than most routers!

I got the 452 a while back. In fact, I'm using it right now. Setup was the only problem I had with it. I spent a whole week trying to set it up until I finally broke down and called tech support. I was surprised at how nice of an experience that was! We found out that the installation software didn't work with the modem I use. I ended up spending 2 minutes setting it up manually and haven't had a problem since.

The only problems I've had with any wireless router is connectivity. Power-cycling resolves that once everything has been set up properly.

I bought one of these and my cus got one too. It worked right out of the box no setup needed. It's a good deal. I got mine for free after rebate a while ago.

Beware Trendnet rebates. For your consideration: Use the info or ignore it.

This is (at best) average gear. The only thing that makes this special is the rebate. You might not get the rebate. They deny on some pretext, have you re-submit, then wait 2 months to anwswer and terminate your case "because the promotion is over". Won't even accept correspondence. Can't happen to careful you? Happens to whatever percentage they decide will make a profit (ALL Trendnet deals are rebates).

Now two Class-action cases at TX Attorney General (other states?), Trendnet dropped by Circuit City for rebate abuses, etc. etc. Also based on the rebate experience of 61 co-workers and friends, and rebate abuses documented on the net. You'll find plenty of complaints if you search 'Trendnet' on the Anand or F*tW*llet 'Hot Deal' forums, or 'Trendnet rebate' on Google. On rebate report sites, TrendNet has one of the worst records for rebates, usually in bottom-5 (varies by example: http://www.rebatereportcard.com/ , 17 reports), but in general rebate complaints aren't very well organized.

The "Deny rebates as profit" business model is here to stay. You don't agree? Love TrendNet? That makes me happy too.

new developments:
1) NewEgg is quietly making good on rebates arbitrarily denied by TrendNet. Send your complaint directly to NewEgg Customer Service. "We hope it will allow you to restore your faith in Newegg.com".
