Would you prefer 1027x768? You simply are NOT going to find a 1600x1200 in a 17" model. Newegg does not even show a 1600x1200 17" panel in existence.

And even if you DID find one, you would have to squint to see the default fonts.
 
Anyone here have experience with this monitor? I couldn't find any reviews. (Except for a single comment on Amazon.)

This is a very common monitor just labeled under different names. I have three. One by kds and two from proview. All have been great, w/out any dead pixels.

You won't find 15",17", or 19" that offer > resolution then 1280x1024, unless you go with the wide views. Your'er gonna have to pay up for 1600x1200, probably $250 +++ (20" or >)
