Vacation Club Presentations with Garenteed prize? Scam or not?

So have you ever gotten one of those calls to go to a vacation presentation in your area. They offer a 90min presentation and garenteed prize. Car, 2 different free vacations, or 27"TV?? I know they try and get you to go to sign up and buy but have you ever gone for just the prize?? Is it worth it? This one is Horizon Travel Club? Just wondering?

I don't think I'd go with this company after reading an article about them. We've been to one of these, and they are super-high pressure. Not worth the time, in my opion.

hubby and i were vacationing in vegas when we got talked into going to one of these things for the prizes involved. first off, THEY drove us to the presentation from our hotel- HUGE mistake, cuz we were on their time schedule now. then, they gave us a long presentation that was terribly boring, since we already knew we neither wanted it nor could we afford it. when we told them we weren't going to buy in, they kept trying to talk us into it. when we explained we couldn't afford it, the salesman got really rude and kept pushing and i was just about in tears. hubby remained calm (he's a cop and is used to morons who won't take no for an answer) and we finally got out of there with a couple of prizes that looked WAY better than they actually were. learned my lesson, and definitely won't be doing that EVER again.
