Toyota buyback

The problem with the Toyota recall is the lack of choice. My truck has no problems but they will not give me the 15 year extended warranty. The dealership has tagged it as faulty although they are the only ones (independents find no problem) who see a problem. The take it or leave it policy although fairly priced left a bad taste. I can't buy another truck of comparable package at the buyback incentive and crushing a perfectly good truck leaves me distressed.:verysad:

Have you tried calling Toyota's Headquarters and speaking to the Presidential office? This happened to us years ago w/ our 1985 F150 Pickup and we got it resolved in about 25 minutes which took me about 6 months of fighting w/ the dealerships and their warranty depts! They gave us a BRAND NEW TRUCK w/ all the same features we had in our older one! (granted they took out a few we didn't have that we would've like to have but that's ok)
Also if you have a LEMON LAW in your state (NOT ALL STATES HAVE THIS AT THIS TIME SO CHECK W YOUR STATE ATTRNY GENERAL) see who overseas that and give them a call! You'll be surprised!

Good to know; thanks Sunni & Jolissa!

My hubby has a Toyota/Scion XB (orig) & I'm prob. going to be getting a Toyota Prius as my next car. Nice to know going to the top actually yields results -- I'll have to keep that in mind if we have any issues. :)

EDIT: I found that the Scion XB 2004-2006 models (which is where we fall into) has a defective windshield class action lawsuit going -- apparently it's prone to cracking.
