does anyone know when or how long this will take? just curious as to how long it will take for the merger to finally happen.
I was thinking will the prices go up for the current MCI consumers?

New Hampshire has approved Verizon's merger with MCI.
The state said the telecommunication giants' merger will not have an adverse impact on telephone rates or services in the state.
Verizon and MCI agreed to the nearly $7 billion merger in February, but must get federal approval as well as approval from some states.
The state's consumer advocate protested the merger as consolidating too much of the market in Verizon's control.
