OK, how is it that the water from the upper tunnels doesn't splash out of the tanks? The tanks would have to be completely sealed, but you can see air at the top of each tank in the third photo.

There's something fishy about this alright.

The 'tubes' are airtight (covered on top, no splashing) and 'air locked', allowing the fish to swim up the tubes.

He would also have to have some type of device to periodically 'suck out' the air from the upper tube portion (that collects) and maintain the two tanks on the bottom level.

yeah, i was skeptical at first too, but i think that if the tubes at each end are submerged in water and the ends of the tubes are at the same exact height off of sea level, there would be no tendency for the water in the tubes to fall (because of gravity) in one direction or the other, that is, suck water from one tank to another (the siphoning trick with hoses).
