Viewsonic N4060W 40" Widescreen LCD HDTV for $899.99 Shipped After Rebate

I'm currently in the market for a HDTV (DLP proj or LCD).

After searching this would seem to be a pretty hot deal.

However, I'm newer to the site, and I can guess that call for availability will mean that it's not available or will take a long time to ship.

What is ya'll's experience with "Call for availability"?

The review says it only has an analog tuner. Doesn't that make this a pretty crippled HDTV? (I thought all new HDTVs had HD tuners)

Adding Over-The-Air HD tuners usually increases the price of the TV. Very few people have HD antennas at home. If you use cable or satillite you get a receiver that hooks up to the TV that provides the HD signal. These receivers may also have OTA digital tuners as well.
 
This TV has a HDTV tuner inside, from the specs: Tuner NTSC/ATSC.

You are correct. I didn't look at the specs so I didn't know that it does in fact have a digital tuner (ATSC). :doh:
 
THe price has gone up to 1499$ with a $100 MIR. Total - $1400.

Not so good anymore.
