Yeah, same here. Even though this is 2.4GHz and a lot nicer, I picked up a Uniden 900MHz dual handset with answerer for $40 after rebate on Black Friday, and it works fine for me. I need the answerer though, as I use it now in my kitchen and I have one up in my bedroom, which is really handy since I always wanted a phone but I had no phone jack.

Reception isn't 100% perfect, but it's good enough for what I had, and my cordless with answerer Panasonic that I had before was on its last leg.
