Walgreens cheap breakfast/snack

This works at my two local Walgreens, so I assume its a widespread thing... Buy anything for $.99 (I tend to go for some fruit juice) and then you can get two (or more possibly?) Hostess apple pies for $.01 each. This doesnt work if they ring up the pies at the same time (by punching in Qty-2 first), but if they ring them all up in order then it works. It worked once with a cherry pie as the second pie, but failed with a cherry pie as the first pie. YMMV

But what if they ring up the cherry pie first then ring up the fruit juice second and then ring up the apple pie last? LOL

I will have to give this a shot before work this evening. Is this some type of promotional thing or just something you found on your own. :hmm:

just found it by accident. i find the best way to do it is hold the stuff in your hand, give it to the cashier one thing at a time. makes you look retarded, but it works more often than not

As yummy as they are, I think that they are probably deadly if you eat too many. Just think how many you could eat if they were only a penny each. That's definitely trouble waiting to happen!

they may be only a penny each, but you'll really pay for them later at the waistline... LOL
