That's why they say that you should never unsubscribe to spam emails cause then they know that it is a good email address...and they send you more junk!!

My brother got laid-off a while back so he is always home...and he is always pissed cause he gets close to 20-30 telemarketers calling every day. Geez!

They even call on Sundays now. Can't they let us have our weekends!!

Kind of a funny story.

My mom was starting to get close to 30-35 calls a DAY. YES A DAY. During her recent recovery time from surgery and she was sick and tired of it.

She told me she had this idea while watching TV one night, and I have a pretty good idea where she got the idea herself from.

After watching that show, and for the next week, she would answer the phone and if it was a telemarketter she would say the following:

"Hi. Please stop speaking now, I am sick and tired of your phone calls. Please add me to your company's do not call list and be sure to distriubte my do not call wish to other companies. If I receive further calls from you, I will put a curse on you, the person who is currently on the other end of the line with me, and your company. You have been warned. Thank you, and have a nice evening."

Then she would hang up.

I heard her say that to a person one night and just hearing her say it made me bust out laughing. :D

The best answer to telemarketers is an answering machine. Great call screening. Mine says this " you have reached such and such a number. If you are selling anything, hang up as we won't pick up. Friends stay on the line or leave a message if we aren't at home." No telemarketers but a few hang ups.

I usually pretend to be a senial old woman and just keep saying hello until they hang up. Some of them get pretty pissed off.

I always tell them that I can't talk right now, then ask for their home phone number, and then ask what time they are eating dinner. That usually pisses them off real nice and makes them hang up.:D

(btw, my first post, woot!) How do I turn the code on so I can show my sig? Any help would be much appreciated. [/B][/QUOTE]

I don't think the board will allow images in your sig. You could set the pic as ur Avatar under 'User CP' -=> Options
