WD My Book 750GB External Hard Drive for $57 Shipped

I just checked some ebay coupons. $4 was the cheapest 25 off 75 I could find and in the description they state "must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies". I'd hate to buy a coupon for this deal only to find it won't work. Also note that this is a clearance item.

Worked fine for me - Total price came out to be around $64 including coupon
and taxes.

Bought one last week

I bought the same drive about a week ago when it was around $5 more, still a good bargain for a drive that size. I found my coupon on Ebay for around 2.69 and it applied perfectly. It even had the link that posted directly to my shopping cart at Staples, but I can't remember the vendor.

The drive is very nice but you have to format it to ntfs to get the full use of it, the instructions have a link to the MS site to help with that.

Coupon Disclaimers???

All of the Ebay coupons seem to clearly say that "Minimum purchase requirement of $75 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies", but the listed price requires the $25 'Instant Savings' on the Staples site? Do you really need to wait for a coupon to arrive from the Postal service to use this?

The coupons referenced say "Minimum purchase requirement of $75 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies" in the eBay listings. the $57 price includes an "Instant Savings" of $25. Why would the coupon work with that exception? Do you need a physical coupon or is the eBay purchase getting you a code number that you can enter?

Personally, I hope that these "eBay coupon specials" are presented more fairly in the future. It's a pain to get one of those coupons -- and when you do, they are ALWAYS more expensive than the Spoofee $2. I bought this drive, and appreciate the deal, but it also had tax on the order and the coupon cost $4.99. Let's quote realistic numbers here.

If I buy the coupon do I have to wait to get it in the mail or is it like e-mailed or something. I just don't want to buy the coupon and buy the time it gets here the deal is no longer valid.

Despite the restriction stated, it worked fine. I got a coupon for $2.89 (code emailed to me). Don't just use their link to the ebay search. Do your own search since different keywords bring different results.
My total: $58.84 (staples) + $2.89 (coupon) = $61.73

Agreed. Some of these "deals" that make you jump through hoops arent the best. These coupon deals, as well as deals at membership clubs fall into the same category, in my opinion.

The coupons (unless they specifically say postal mail only) are usually emailed within a few hours or less. You cut and paste the code number to your shopping cart. Mine worked perfectly and I got it within a few minutes.

Got it with tax for $62

$2.89 for the $25 off $75 coupon on ebay - seller emailed code to me.

Then the rest of the difference was tax.

I already got my drives (bought 2). Didn't even take a full 24 hours.

Total with tax, shipping, and cost of coupon was $61.89. A pretty good price for not having to deal with any rebates. Thanks spoofee!
