CompUSA has the Western Digital High-Performance 160GB Hard Drive for only $129.99 - $30 Instant Savings - $30 Rebate 1 - $30 Rebate2 = $39.99 after rebate. Shipping is $5 or free if you order $150 worth of goods.

Pricegrabber Price : $87 ~ $155 Shipped

Not too bad of a price, WD's arent the most reliable brand in existence, so if you 're backing up important stuff or just like seagate like me, that amazon deal is still the best.

However, this isnt too shabby of a deal either. Of course, if you could make all those rebates INSTANT, well, that would change a lot of things!

There is a better deal at Fry's stores if you have one near by. Here is a Hitachi 160GB HD for $39.99 after dealing with a single $60.00 rebate only. :32:

The Maxtor 160 from Staples the other day was $64 total, free shipping, and no hassles of rebates.

F that.... Hitachi is a slamming brand.. it's the only HD's I run... and for 30ish dollars... You can't beat that price... even if you do have to mail in the the rebate.

Uhhhh...didn't Hitachi create the dreaded "DeathStar" hard drive? WDC was probably the best...many will say they still are, but Seagate has come on strong. Maxtor has gone downhill since buying Quantum...they run a poor 3rd.

Uhhhh...according to numerous reviews by tomshardware.com (very reputable) Hitachi DeskStars are some of the better and most reliable drives out there now. :zip:
