Westinghouse LVM-37w3se 37" LCD TV for $599.99 Shipped

I was thinking about buying this TV but there are a lot of bad reviews about it on Newegg... :(

"A large number of LVM-37w3se's were sent out with faulty EDIDs (memory chips that identify what resolutions and timings the monitor is capable of). This has the potential to render your 1080p devices incapable of outputting 1080p, nullifying the main advantage of this monitor. There's no guarantee you won't get one of these faulty monitors from NewEgg and have to ship it to Westinghouse out of your own pocket to fix it. For more info on the EDID problem Google "LVM-37w3se EDID"."
 
We have this direct from buy.com's website for this product though...

"This LVM-37W3SE is from a newer production run and does not suffer from the EDID issues found on some previous models. "

So it may be alright afterall.
