What about removing the thread ratings?

It's obvious that there is someone on here that goes around and slams a lot of the thread ratings.

Most threads have a 1 or if you scan over them, they have 2 votes and 3 stars. Meaning that someone most likely gave them 1 and someone else a 5.

I don't see why someone is so disrespectful to others, but I do see how this abusive behavior is continuing.

I don't see the significance of the rating or the harm that would be done if this rating was removed. There are people here that have feelings and are being abused.

What do you think about this issue? What could we change to make it no longer anonymous if it's not removed?

And I wonder too why there are ratings that are low for very good freebies, but it doesnt keep me from voting or from checking them out. I do agree with preco one bad apple (not the appletini ) shouldnt bring us down. I think people get there feelings hurt alot on here over little things and sometimes its just because its hard to joke on a message board and there will always be that one person trying to get us going. But they are just stars on the thread, I never noticed them until it came up in another thread. hwell: but I rate them now.

Seriously folks, I have been on the site for almost three years, and, it wasn't until the spring of LAST YEAR that I even knew what the stars were for!! :lol: And THAT came after I embarassed my old delusional self and asked like four or five people! The rating system is pointless, for if it carried any merit, the threads with one or two stars would be removed by the Moderators. Right? There must be some folks who like to use the star rating as well of getting back at certain posters that they just don't care to much for or about. If that is the case, wow, how sad is that?!?! The Thank You button is totally awesome, and, a quick way to let a poster know you really appreciate their efforts. Maybe the Moderators will look into revamping the rating, and, either deleting it totally or making the poster known for giving a rating out. Bet you would a fast drop in lousy ratings if they carried your name on the record! :yesnod:
