hi all thought this might be a good sampler across the country. what are the gas prices/gallon of regular gas in your area?
me = $3.19 per gallon

Its funny, the story i have to tell....I hadnt been on the road for 3 days. It was $2.85ish about back then, three days ago. I didnt go on the highway or anywhere local for 3 days and when i came back, the price was about $3.20 a gallon

$3.09 for preminum Chervon gas in OC, CA. it was $2.99 before :'( dang

Here its anywhere between $2.99 to $3.09

It's absolutely crazy here.

Prices are now ranging from $3.19 to $3.79 at the local ripoff station. I'd say that our average is $3.19-$3.29.

I bought it for $2.99 the other day and that was a deal. The next day I went by the same station and it was $3.19. A local station where I normally go also jumped from $2.84 overnight to $3.29.

yeah, the prices are jumping up unbelievabl fast due to Katrina, and the war effort, but mostly katrina's fault, thats where the price spike came in

$3.15-3.35 here & this is the middle of Calif.....

yaay! dropped to $3.09 for regular variety. ( from $3.19)

Wed I passed the station on my way to work here in N. Dallas.....$2.53....Thur $2.88....Fri $2.99....Sat $3.09. I decided not to go out today.

gas prices

Here in Alabama they are on average of $3.19. On Wed. they were $2.41 at the local hole in the wall...lol

My uncle lives in Atlanta, Georgia and they are over $6 a gallon there. Took him $80 dollars to fill up a small chevy s-10 pick up the other day, tell me that is not crazy.

crisplinen, which city?!?!?! Here in Anaheim Hills, its like $3.10 for unleaded worst one! :eek:

I just paid $2.88 gallon in Frankfort, Ky. It's $3.29 in Lawrenceburg, Ky the city I live in. Good thing I was passing through and found it cheaper.

Jubjub,

Those were my words exactly to him. I also told him that he needs to buy a bicycle too.....lol

It is a big money grab..... or just conditioning by the oil / refinery companies, back 10 years ago, gas was less than a dollar a gallon. Then I remember it jumped because of the gulf war or some other event "oil fires" and went to 1.50 in like 6 months evened off and every one was happy to pay less than 1.50 a gallon. Prices then crept up over the past couple of years and most recently everyone was happy to pay less than 2 dollars a gallon. Iraq conflict / terrorist’s actions up and up another .20 to .50 cents Fast forward....gas is averaging 3.19 a gallon a jump of .50 in 3 days and everyone is happy to pay less than 3 a gallon when you can find it... conditioning. Gas will even off at a little under 3 dollars a gallon over the winter and everyone will be "glad" or excited to find a gas station selling gas and to pay less than 3 dollars a gallon. Gone are the days of filling your tank for less than 15$.
