With Thanksgiving just a few days away..... what are you most thankful for ?

As for me ... I am thankful that I have my first grandbaby due in March.

Thankful to be together one last time

I am most thankful that my father is still with us, though the days are few, as he is in the end stages of lung cancer.

The doctors told us at Easter to make the final arrangements which we did. When he was still with us at the end of that week they sent him home on hospice. After four weeks at home, he got out of bed and greeted the Hospice nurse at the door (she nearly fainted with delight!). So we feel we all got some amazing "bonus time" since then, where he was able to participate in some quality way in life for these past few months.

But as we all knew, the true end is on the horizon. He is again home on Hospice and is unable to eat. But he can happily hold a conversation here and there and is always pleased to see his grandchildren come by. It is a blessing to know we will still be able to touch him and say thank you and share just one more Thanksgiving with him.

May you all treasure your day together as much as we will.:like:

I'm definitely thankful for family. My family has been through a lot this past year, and although there is tragedy, it brings us closer as a family. In a way its bitter sweet.

Family, good health :hail:

Family & being able to walk again!!!

Have been very blessed...but meeting so many, many wonderful folks in my travels. But to me, it has been all of the children that I have had the honor of treating along the way. Now there's a double heaping helping of blessings and thanksgivings, kids are the greatest gifts going. :) Yeah, yeah, of course, my own kid ranks number one...Jeb Stuart! LOL

Lots of stuff to be thankfull for here. I am so blessed to have good health (despite my "dis"ability) and my wonderfull, supportive and loving hubby. I thank God every day that my mom has responded well to her cancer treatments and I'm so looking forward to the Holiday time spent with my grandkids, Jake and Shayla, and the grandbaby that will probably make a very early arrival - like the siblings - by weeks end :)

Last night I went to a 2 hour memorial service for a gentleman who worked with security at my church. The pastor spoke of how this man, all through his 3 year bout with cancer, would state "But, I'm not complaining" following any statement which could be construed as negative. Because of his uplifting attitude, part of the service consisted of writing fond memories of this gentelman on colorful construction paper leaves. The leaves were collected and hung on a "gratitude tree". The leaves will eventually be given to his widow. What a lesson this was for being thankful, especially around this time of year.

What I am most thankful for is my health,my family and all of my kids, including my four legged ones, and my small feathered one.I am most thankful that I could save two loving dogs from being euthanized.

Most thankful that I have finally found a longterm boyfriend. Thankful for my family although they may get on my nerves. And thankful for a structured and organized life.
