What ever happened to the Overstock "Deal Request"?

It flopped!

I don't think Overstock Chris new what he was getting himself into.

But I do see a few other sites have a similar Overstock request thread, they are still running right along though.

Right, The results were many angry Spoofee users and an overwhelmed OverstockChris and Spoofee Mods. I think there should have been something different in the way he wanted to advertise that feature. It was a little deceptive.

How did we get intouch with chris int he first place.

He's one of the company's reps that provide us with coupons, He was doing this promotion and informed us about it. It was a good idea to a degree... "Request your own deal" but of course people are going to want something like 100% off which isn't possible.. So people's expectations aren't met. It wasn't really OverstockChris' fault but it would have been better if he defined the terms better or at least gave us some guidelines.

I recall the terms or guidelines as being pretty clear to me, or maybe i just assumed it was more realistic for a 15% discount, as opposed to a 40-80% discount.

Same here, guidelines were pretty clear. I think there were too many idiots who don't realize that 75% off a plasma TV isn't going to happen. The Spoofee.com average IQ score definitely dropped by about 35 point after that run of new members.
