What is up with the post count?

It says that i have poseted 6 hundred and some times, but I really have posted like 2 thousand and some times, also the member titles are messed up, it will says like L7, or L6 etc. in front of the titles
 
The mod's are at it again. They wiped out 3,000 of my post count...you should see what they did to Clubby's. Also, I think the L# could be 'levels' of some sort. Last night I was a Deal God, now I'm back to whatever........:confused:
 
did they finally stop counting posts in the off topic thread??? That would cover the thousands of missing posts. and yes, the L# is "Level #".
 
I don't think so because I was 1173 at writing this....now I'm.............1174
 
I was going to say post count is based on quality now, but I guess the mods are giving preco credit for raccoon bashing. :confused:

i don't mind being demoted. i don't put a whole lot of weight in number of posts anyway ;)
 
It's just certain 'threads' they're not counting. "Word Association" posts did not increase my 'count' :hmm:

It boils down to.....they're screwing with us :rolleyes:

Wow! I was going to say I take a couple of days off and I'm on the bottom of the list, but now I'm just glad I still made the Top Ten list! Woohoo!
 
Sorry I didn't make a note of this. We noticed some users posting just to raise post count and we thought the "post count" really didn't represent "User Title". We wanted to reward deal contributors in some way.
 
Do you have a "reference guide" for the user title? What's better? Level 1 or Level 10?

The more posts the user has the higher there level.

I guess you guys can delete the Celebration Milestones thread that I posted a while ago... I can no longer claim to have reached the milestone of 1,000 posts. Something to work toward though... ;)

I thought about this a bit...and you are correct. 'Deal contributors' should be rewarded or acknowledged in some way, possibly count the 'threads started'? However, I think assuming that those with 'high post counts' are 'doing it just for post counts' is a bit presumptuous.

I was raised to always say, 'thank you'. I know on the few threads I started, it's nice to see that acknowledgement and it is appreciated. Case in point, not posted to increase post count. Also, there are many great deals to jump on in Spoofee, I don't think anyone would disagree. One way to keep track if you partook or viewed it, is to make a post so the little check mark appears in the 'paper' on the left! ;) Again, not a post to increase post counts.

Sometimes increases in 'post counts' just happen. As for me, I'm amused by some of the 'level titles' and had a chuckle that I was a 'deal god' (short lived however). Did I know that was coming, no....but I chuckled.

Call me whatever, reduce my post count - doesn't bother me, but please don't assume what motivates me. Perhaps I can be a bit too sensitive at times or paranoid. Just wanted to clarify a point.
 
First things first no one user was singled out this was a site wide change, as Spoofee said "some" and no names listed. Don't take it personally.

We also have a rating system for acknowledgement & no one said you couldn't say thank you ;) . If you notice "thank you" posts are still counted and your posts #'s for those are still there.

Everyone should give the rating system a try though, it helps all of us.

I was wondering why we lost 1/2 of our posts and were 'demoted' with our titles?

Is dehawk being this?!?....kidding.
 
you got demoted if you violated Spoofee Rule 6 posting in dehawks word association game
