Wheat is murder

I read this a while back. Hope PETA doesn't see my post about the 15-pound burger. lol

omfg what an idiot....whoever the author is of that article is seriously an idiot

First of all, I would clearly like to state that I am a Vegetarian. However, I'm not one because I think im saving the world or anything. Its because its part of my religion. My religion forbids me to eat meat because it says we should let other animals live. I dont have a problem with this, so I obey it. I dont know what that guys problem was but he seriously needs to learn more about a topic before he writes about it,

this kid's rantings remind me of my younger brother- makes me miss the kid (he's deployed to korea for a year)... thanks for the laugh dehawk!

ha ha apocalypse actually i dont think the rant was aimed at you , but it does make for an awesome conversation with vegetarians over dinner. I have driven so many of them crazy with that argument. :)

Go ahead try it next time its fun

yeah i know its not aimed at me but its just that I hate people who put make stupid arguments. I guess it would be valuable info, but the way he presented it is just horrible. If he is gonna blame us for the wheat killing, at least present it in an acceptable fashion.

If you want to argue, lets begin---

My religion tells me not to eat meat, and so I do not, which makes me a vegetarian. However, I am not the reckless driver/company/organization which decided to take wheat from an animal infested land. I am not responsible in their deaths in any way, so in no way is that argument solid enough to blame vegetarians for the animals deaths.

true , but do you buy the wheat that the company provides? yes or do you grow your own grain.

i could have the same argument , i do not hunt and kill the animal , i eat the already dead meat.
If you do buy grain or crops , you are contributing to the killing as much as i am to the animals i eat

ahhhh, ignorance is bliss, isn't it? maybe if we pretend we don't understand, nobody will hold us accountable. and that's all we want isn't it-- zero accountability??

But Dehawk, by buying meat you encourage the company to continue killing animals. Lets just say that no one ate meat, no companies would be killing animals. Yes, i buy the wheat but it is not my responsibilty to oversee that the animals dont die. And lets just say ppl didnt know that animals died (i didnt before i read this article), the company doest say that on the bag, and people like me dont have a way of finding out.

Thats the whole point of the article , im not saying its good or bad , Its a persons choice. But there hasve been ppl who have told me how can you eat meat and called me a savage. The whole point of this argument is to piss those sort of ppl off . To see if i educate them of they will be as hypocritical on themselves now as they have been to me.

Also as clubchick says , ignorance is bliss. There are alot of things that we dont know but are contributing to. If you dont eat meat with the belife that you are not hurting animals then its time to change that because as you can see you are.

My question to you is now that you know what are you going to do about it. Stop eating vegetables?

Or decide since you are already responsible for deats ( a rat or a chicken) will you start eating meat.

Its not as much the killing which is the issue. Its the horrendous living standards for the animals that will be killed. Chickens are debeaked, living in cages barely big enough for themselves. Of course, something needs to die for us to live. However, I don't believe in torturing an animal before I eat it.

Finally a person with good taste. He is freaking hilarious

My answer to you Dehawk is that I will continue to eat vegetables only because vegetables are totally different from wheat. So i guess I could refuse to eat wheat products, and find an alternative. It does not mean i have to stop eating vegetables. Also, I have two choices that i see: Eat meat or not eat meat. Now, which of these choices would kill less animals? I am going to assume not eat meat. Lastly, its not like vegetarians are the only people that eat wheat. There exists numerous amounts of people who use wheat products as much or even more than vegetarians. I actually would like to eat meat because I'm not that much of a religous person, I actually am more of someone that needs proof and evidence, so I tend to like scientific reasons and explanations. And in the world of science, there is the food web and seeing as how animals eat other animals, and we are animals, we should make animals a portion of our daily meal.

Oh ya, and animal cruelty like that is one thing which turns me away from meat.
