when i was growing up, my mom wouldn't let us get a tree until about 2 weeks before christmas, because, she said, if we bought a tree earlier than that, it would dry out and die long before christmas came. well, from the reading i've been doing, they all seem to get cut about the same time (sometime in august), and that was maybe just mom's way of keeping more needles off the carpet than absolutely necessary.
so, the question i have is: is there a difference between buying a cut christmas tree now and in 2 or 3 weeks? i know the pros of buying a live tree, so i'm not asking about that... definitely set on destroying nature
anybody have info on this? i'm feeling a bit impatient this year and am anxious to get my tree
