After reading druvans thread about radar guns vs. GPS I realized, I havent had a speeding ticket (or even pulled over) in over 6 years!!!!

:claps:

How about you?
When was your last?
How fast were you going?

:driver:

Two years ago. I was drag racing a friend at 2am and we both spotted a cop at the same time...he pulled us both over and told me I "could have taken him if I had tried harder". lol And in Kansas, a drag racing ticket is considered a non-moving violation...so luckily it didn't touch my insurance or license. I haven't done it since and don't plan to any time soon.

I was 18(a veeeeeeeeeery long time ago) and I was going 47.2 in a 35. My one and only(so far).

Junior year in college, 1978, 75 in a 55 going back to school after a weekend of finding out that the girl I had been dating for 4 years, who I thought I was going to marry, had shacked up with some dude.
Fortunately the cop was all business. One wisecrack and I'd still be in prison for ripping his head off.

Thanks for the memory!

Never. Mrs. Brady would never go over the speed limit!! Her husband, on the other hand...

I've never been caught speeding. Watch...I'll get pulled over tonight now.
I've only been pulled over twice. Once for expired tabs. I really thought you had til the end of the month and he pulled me over on the 30th. :convinced:
The second time was for a dirty license plate.

Hmm, what did your 'dirty' license plate say?

I haven't had one in a while, although it puzzles me why insurance rates get lower as you age, you never really get better at driving, just better at watching for cops!

It was sometime around 1994-1996.....was going 80 in a 65 I think it was. LOL driving that fast sure didn't get me to work on time which was what I was hoping it would. Before that tho I hadn't had one since 1985. Looks like I won't be getting anymore since no one will let me drive any more :verysad: Besides I quit speeding years ago or at least going far enough over the speed limit for any self respecting cop to pull me over!

Talked my way out of the only one I almost got about 25 years ago. I was going 90 on my motorcycle. You would have had to have been there to appreciate the "reason" that the Florida State Trooper fell for - uhhhh, I mean, accepted.

There, there Dan. It's good to talk about these things....let them out....

I TOTALLY thought you had til the end of the month too - because your sticker has just the month & the year! That was the second to last time I got pulled over......

I am going to have to agree with that.
However, I never speed with my boys in the car - just when I am by myself....which is very rare these days.....

Don't worry about it.
We all have bad things happen to us. It's called life.
We cope and we go on. If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger.
Or you can dwell on it, make it the center of your life, obsess over it, and become a whiny, self adsorbed, touchy, attention wh**e.

Had only one ticket about 8 years ago, going 96 in the 60 zone (the road was wide open, and I was the only car on the road for many miles.....until the second car pulled right behind me.......with blinking lights.....the cop was very cool, he only gave me a ticket ($261....still rememeber......ah...those were the days! :verysad: )

Never had one. I got one for not wearing seatbelt last year and I had one for no insurance about 4 or 5 years ago after I got t-boned. Have made sure to wear seat belt and always keep insurance updated. Only ones ever.
