What I dont get, Monk, is how anyone wouldve gotten one recently for Christmas.. Its not Christmas yet, and "recently" doesnt really extend into the future or extend back 50 weeks.

ninja- Youve still barely got time to do the mail order if you find one online. As for finding it locally, try the places that you dont really think of as somewhere that would have a Wii. Like Sears or Radio Shack. I found a black DS Lite at Radio Shack today and everyone else was out of them. I dont know if RS carries the Wii, though. Also, I read that Nintendo is offering a kind of Wii raincheck system where you can go to GameSpot(I think) and pay for a 'guaranteed Wii by the end of January'. Dont quote me on that though.
 
You might want to try Target. I got mine back in Feruary, but they were still hard to come by then. Ask a stock person when they are coming in and be at the store when they say.
They put eight out the day I got them and they were gone in a few minutes.
