Please guys...I need some positive thoughts today.I am taking a swim test at Wet N Wild today to become a ride operator/shallow water lifeguard. And I am very very nervous.I have this huge butterfly in my stomach.
All I have to do is swim 50 yards and retrieve a 10 pound brick from one side of the pool...and walk it back to the otherside in 50 seconds. Sounds easy? Not if my swim test is in the wave pool.Hopefully the waves will be turned off.Wish me luck.:bigok:

Just don't wear a bathing suit like this and remember sunscreen! :bigok:

Good luck Mrs.K! You can do it! ;)

lol Preco you are so bad!

You can do it MrsK!!!! :claps: We are all rootin for ya!

I cant imagine they making you do while the waves are on - now if you were going to be a lg at a beach then yes, but there at that park they can turn the waves on for an emergency.

Not that I'm looking to make it tougher for Mrs.K but....It would make more sense to 'test' the life guards with the waves on....that's when most of the 'problems' occur. Even if they were to shut the waves off in an emergency, it takes a bit for the water to calm down. I just feel the safety person needs to be capable.

Mrs.K, no thong ok?:) Now go get that brick and hurry!:yo:

good luck mrsk!!! hope you do well, it sounds like a fun job.

Good God woman - do you have a retort for everything?

Of course it makes more sense to test with the waves on - but I am going on experience - I was in a wave pool once and there was a person in trouble. They shut off the machine and ordered everyone out and the water became still fairly quickly.

Waves or no waves you will do great MrsK!

She prolly got the job, and now she's too good to come slumming around here with the people who liked her before she was a hoidy toidy lifeguard.

Oh....you're probably right! Thanks for nothing, Mrs. K. :( Lol just teasing!

We're Waiting.......................................So...If you got the job, and you can get in for free; ride the Black Hole,
its the best one there....

Uh...ride, that is!

Is this true, Mrs.K....you can get us all in for free? Ok I need to stop that...lol.

:( no I didn't pass the swim test..all due to heat cramps 3/4 of the way back.

Sorry to hear that
If you do some training/conditioning, could you try again in a few weeks?

I am so sorry to hear that, Mrs. K..I am sure something better will come along soon...I'm rooting for you!!

Oh Mrs.K, I really hoped that it would've worked out for you.:(

When one door closes, another door opens.....I know it sounds cliche, but things seem to work out for the better most of the time. Here's a hug  *Don't get used to it, and if you speak of this, I will deny*

The Spoofers are pulling for you.;)

I'm so sorry, Mrs. K. :( Hope you can find something soon!
