One of my favorite telly shows to watch is "Antique Road Show" on MPTV. However, I hate to go to yard/garage sales, or flea markets and dig through stuff. Other family members can't wait for spring time to hit the same! So Spoofee members, are you like old Rags and hate to go to these affairs, or are you one of the people who will show up at six or seven in the morning at these sales to start the ball rolling?!??! Have you ever gotten a good buy, or an unusal find? :wave:

I love going to these! I go with a few friends though...if I don't have friends to go with, I don't go by myself. I've bought all kinds of thing from yard sales-they're really good for finding kids things so that's mostly what I buy. (but I get a lot of other stuff too)

I just visit/work for thrift shops year round. Same stuff, same prices.
I absolutely love garage sales. I find the coolest stuff! Furniture, kitchen gadgets, stuff I wouldn't normally buy but for a couple bucks why not? I have bought stuff at garage sales and resold it on Ebay. My kids love garage sales because they can use their own money to buy stuff, everything is so cheap. We go to a lot of garage sales in the summer. :bigok:

I will go to a yard sale every now and then. I got an original Nintendo system with almost all the controllers and a bunch of games for about $15. That was fun.

I have grown to hate these things and only because of my neighbors. They have several garage sales throughout the summer and their guests park in front of my house... a lot of times blocking my driveway. :rant:

Our city limits sales to once a year & $5 for a permit.
This is cause way back in the 70's some people were having a lot of sales of antique stuff & so, antique stores wanted a law.

Post a sign in your yard that parking is $5.00 and that violators will be towed.
