Is there any catch to these cheap/sometimes free magazine offers?

Tanga, DiscountMags, Amazon seem to be common sources.

I.E. do they auto-renew at full price, so you have to watch out and cancel at the right time? Or maybe your address gets used/sold for adverts? Anyone know the inside scoop on these?
