Interesting site~I was very interested in possibly ordering some plants but the site has no where at all where it explains the attributes or characteristics of any of the heirloom varieties which I found rather odd. Will watch and see on this one before an "official order"!!

i ordered 2 plants via google. i googled the plant names to get the info.
since I already placed my Burpee tomato order I wanted to try a few of the heirloom plants. I think they are just technically challenged horticulturists.
we shall see... i somehow think that they couldn't get google pay if they were bogus... but that is just MHO.

I think you are probably right. I am just amazed that they wouldn't think customers would want to know a whole lot about the tomatoes before they order!!

Did you order any from them or just from Burpee? What did you decide on? The one they show sliced in the photo looked amazing but no way to know which variety it is!

i ordered 2 tomato collections from Burpee.com... they have 4 different collections and I always have great luck with their seedlings. All of my neighbors and co-workers got lots of garden tomatoes from last years Burpee crop.

i ordered 2 single heirlooms from this site: the great white and the green zebra. they list the options in the collections but for the single plants there is a pull down menu. They list the types of plants in their collections but it looks like the selection is random. you get what they pick for you.

PS if i remember correctly the photo was of a green tomato that has skin that sorta looked like a watermelon with light and dark green stripes. that is the green zebra i ordered.

PPS i also emailed them to ask of they still had the basil seeds and if they would include them with my order.

got my tomato plants, no basil seeds, no response to my email to them asking about the seeds. They sent the plants about a month before the planting time in my zone.

so my comment from the 4th of April is still valid...they are lame... even though the plants were packed beautifully and are doing VERY WELL & thriving in my window, this is not a site I would recommend. they sell tomato plants but don't describe what they are selling and will send it to you before the frost free planting date in your area. (big no-no as far as i am concerned since both of the plants i received would be dead if I hadn't kept them indoors) AND I didn't get the basil seeds and they didn't respond to my email asking if I would get the seeds with my order.
 
Recd an email that need to send SASE for basil seeds w/o purchase.

Home Depot has bogo seeds until 4/28.

Received an email today from (as Tutz has dubbed it and I agree!) this lame site, indicating plants that are available to buy and Oh by the way, you can receive the free seeds by sending a SASE envelope but ONLY if you are a registered at the site. At the bottom of email, it reads "You are subscribed to this email because you responded to our free basil seeds offer"~what losers!

So they pumped up their contact list and have no intention of fulfilling requests from what I can determine.:rant:

i wonder if this is the site that i got mine from or not. cause i got some the other in a sase.
