I got the same email. looks like they got a ton going out and probably had to order a ton more. at least they didn't cancel them on us! :)
 
Got the same e-mail--but if they were limiting it to 1,000, wonder why they were "blown away." They should have had the 1,000 quantity set aside for their promo. September or August--makes no difference to me, and I do think they were very nice to send out an e-mail update. Just can't believe they are going to send six packages to everyone.

but i wonder how many are in each pack? 2-3 or 15-30??
also they should've expected this sort of thing b/c free in this economy w/ 6 packages the word will spread like wild fire then add the freebie sites like us into the mix and it's like an explosion! At least they still are sending them and it wasn't a Dear Mr / Mrs so and so we're not able to honor it! :) greatful for the food these days! :)

No, sunni, since I just can't do EVERYTHING....I suspect there is something fishy about this whole offer, tho, since it's coming from a third party supplier the way I read it originally. Maybe I was confused (happens a lot), but I haven't heard another word nor received anything either. Maybe I can find the "delayed shipment" e-mail and try a reply to that. Oh, I guess that means I CAN do everything. I'll lyk.

Sent a note via "Contact Us" link from bottom of e-mail they had sent me.

In reference to your question, due to the high demand for our new product, Deli Bites, we are pushing back the delivery date on the samples you値l be receiving. We anticipate the product will be shipped in September, but we do not have a specific date at this time. In order to assure timely delivery to all those who will be receiving Deli Bites samples, we are conducting a mass mailing and therefore will not be accepting delivery requests, such as change in delivery dates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you again for contacting us and please feel free to send us any comments or questions you may have in the future. We would love to hear from you again!

Apparently they are "mass mailing" return emails as well...I got one just like Pat's this morning except worded slightly different but same meaning, plus from different person. It was at least 2 weeks ago since I asked them when they were mailing out since the only thing I heard from them was the begining of August.

My question was, if they began this knowing they needed a PRESET # they were "awarding" as samples, why were they thrown off by "high demand"?? Didn't make sense to me. Except someone from Johnsonville commented on a blog that they goofed & sent the congrats email to more people than it was supposed to go out to, now they will try to honor all of them including their mistake ones.
 
Received a small bubble mailer today with six 1oz packs of Original Summer Sausage Deli Bites.
 
so basically 6 small links? That'll be gone in one sitting! :lol:
